Ottumwa Legacy Foundation - Creating an interior marketplace for the City of Ottumwa, Iowa

Developing a logo and concept of an indoor marketplace as a start-up place for new businesses to revitalize a small town in Iowa. The idea was to create the feel of an outdoor old-town town square similar to marketplaces in Europe; where shoppers stroll, stop for coffee or lunch, listen to a band, shop for books, groceries, flowers; where the community can linger, meet friends and neighbors. The vendors of this Market will receive practical help from the Ottumwa Legacy Foundation who provides them with advice, resources needed for a new business and an inexpensive start-up location. In turn the businesses -once successful- are expected to evolve and move in one of the multiple business retail spaces created on Main Street to revitalize Downtown in the years to come.

vpk by Maharishi Ayurveda - Design of retail store in Boulder, Colorado

This is the second retail store for vpk by Maharishi. The first being in Fairfield, Iowa. They offer holistic herbal supplements, teas & oils. Many organic and NON - GMO. The Boulder community is affluent and interested in natural healing, meditation, yoga and nature. The people are outdoors enthusiasts & engage in rock climbing, hiking & mountain biking. I felt the store should bring in the natural woods & stone, feature a herbal tea bar and have a space to site down relax and / or consult with staff
